Valentines gifts

Me and my bf have been together almost 3yrs but living together and messing around for almost 5yrs (crazy I know) our whole relationship he has never gotten me a card or gift for my birthday/valentines or Christmas. He's never had a job but gets a SS check. I always seem to spoil him bcuz I work everyday and support his cigarette and beer habit. Would you get your man a gift even when he doesn't get you anything?
