How often do condoms actually break..?

I see a lot of posts on here about condoms breaking during sex... Am I the only one this has never happened to? Or am I just lucky?? How does that even happen? I feel like the condoms we buy are pretty sturdy...I'm just wondering cause I could never see that happening unless you have some pretty rough ass sex lol

When they're used correctly they really shouldn't break. I think a lot of women say "the condom broke" when they just didn't use protection and don't want a lecture. I've had one condom break ever in the last 4 years and we felt it almost right away, and replaced it.

It happened to me! I freaked out and went to the out of hours GP for PlanB and the stink eye/attitude that woman gave me was unbelievable. I ended up in tears. God it makes me angry thinking back on it. I would love to meet her now. 😡👊🏽🖕🏽

My husband and I have never had it happen.

Never had an issue. We always used brand new. Never old or near their expiration date.
