Wisdom teeth (Edit)

So i went to the dentist for a cleaning about a month ago and they told me i need to look into getting my wisdom teeth taken out soon. I asked the dentist if it would be okay to wait until summer (may) because i know recovery takes about a week and i cant miss that much school. She said it should be fine but not to wait any longer than that. They gave me a referral but i havent had a chance to make a consultation appointment yet with the surgeon.

Now 2 nights ago my back left teeth started hurting after eating steak for dinner but i woke up the next morning and it was fine. But now it hurts again to chew anything harder than steamed veggies on that side. Is there anything i can do for the pain (other than aspirin) until i can make an appointment? And do you think i will be okay to wait until may or should i try to get it done during spring break (march)? :/ im scared. I've never had surgery before

Edit: okay so i just looked at where the pain is coming from and saw a little dark spot. I can't tell if its a cavity or if its some sort of gap being created by my wisdom tooth growing in ? Any thoughts?
