Any recommendations !???

Question

Do any of you moms formula feed your baby !? And what formula do you use or recommend ? Thinking of switching over because breastfeeding is just not working right now , I'm in so much pain ... Or maybe I'll just start pumping & try and let my nipples heal ..  I've been trying to stick through the pain but find myself slowly giving up and it makes me feel extremely bad and guilty that I feel that way 😳💔 it hurts me so much because I do wanna breastfeed my daughter , I love it to death ... I just can't handle the pain ..... But please if anyone could , recommend a formula that worked for you ?? Thank you

My son took really well to Gerber... It was the only one that didn't give him horrible gas or discomfort.  This is what worked for us but remember to give the formula about a week and see how your little one responds to it.
  It took us 3 different formulas and lots of crying/fussiness before we found one that was right for him.  
   I also breastfed but luckily I had no issues with my bodies response to it...unfortunately my son had the worst colic so it wasn't all a walk in the park.  Don't beat yourself up if breastfeeding doesn't work out...do what's best for you and your baby...remember....there are millions of babies out there that have formula who are happy and healthy!!!

I do 50% breast 50% formula and it's been working out great. I suggest asking companies or your pedi for samples of different formulas because babies can be very picky. My baby settled on similac sensitive. I use avent naturals for bottles with the premie size 0 nipple because the flow is really slow. We've been using them for almost 12wks and she switches between breast and bottle like a champ!

As a breastfeeding Momma I know how difficult and trying the entire process is! I have never used formula so I do not have any recommendations. Though I do want you to take it easy on your self. There are woman who never even step up to the plate and try to breastfeed at all. You did and that's what matters, so what it didn't work out you tried! It doesn't make you any less of a mother using formula. I'm so sick of seeing woman being put down for such nonsense.

I asked my dr about switching yesterday and he said typically you can start out on similac advance (or comparible store brand) and if you notice any fussiness or gas then you try the sensitive formulas. I'm planning on trying that.

My daughter would only use nan's ha formula tried changing once but nope that was all she would drink

With my son I used Similac Soy. Dd1 was Similac Advance. Dd2 was Similac Sensitive but when it was no longer available in our area, we used Similac Advance. It all depends on your baby and what they can handle. Good luck!

I definitely recommend trying to pump for a little while to see if that helps but allows you to keep supplying milk. As far as formula goes, it's more toward what works for your wallet and doesn't cause gas or reflux for baby. The FDA regulates all formula ingredients, so even off brand is closely monitored and safe to use.
