Skinny?

In my opinion the girls that are on the thinner side get shamed and bullied because they are thin. It's wrong and happens all the time but no one seems to ever talk about the thinner girls getting shamed all I ever read about it the larger girls being shamed or how they are happy with their bodies that's great but it seems as though thinner girls would be "stuck up" "self observed" if they said the same about their bodies.

I am thin, my little sister more so. All of my siblings and I got called into the councillors every time we switched schools to be asked if our parents neglected/starved us. I was 90 pounds until my junior year of highschool at 5'7. My younger being 5'11 has only just now hit 100+ pounds as a junior in highschool.

Yes we've heard and gotten some shit for being thin, but I and my sisters would rather be thin than fat. We know which of the two is more widely acceptd and we know which of the two faces more obstacles in life.

Body shaming towards ANYONE is not okay, but unfortunately people who are deemed fat have it harder (not that it's a competition).

I was underweight and I never got shit. Everyone told me how jealous they were, and any "nasty" comments were from jealous people. 
I'm overweight now and I get way worse comments.

I see it happen. I personally am quick to speak against body shaming in general. This includes all body shapes and types...I just can't tolerate people dismissing others and assuming they know about a person's health or character by looking at them.

Body shaming is wrong, no one should have to endure it. But imo skinny shaming is not as bad as fat shaming.

It's true! I have tons of friends who are always told "eat a burger" "gain some weight, you look sick" etc. my sister is very thin and struggles to gain weight. She's also got some self esteem issues because she feels too thing (I think she's perfect) but, yes big people aren't the only ones who get picked on & everyone big or thin should be able to love themselves

I went through this in high school. People said I had an eating disorder and I threw up after I ate. It was terrible. And it's sad people on focus on fat people being bullied because I had just as hard time in school because of my weight. I didn't have an eating disorder hell i ate a ton way more than the average girl. And even at work do you know they banned me from the fitness challenge because I'm skinny? I told them I didn't think it was fair, I wasn't joining it to lose weight but to change lifestyle and eat healthier. But they didn't let me do it because they thought everyone else in the office would be offended. So really I still deal with it. I hate it and for the longest I used to want to gain a bunch of weight for it stop but it never happened. The heaviest I've ever been is a size 3 and I think that's because I became pregnant recently and I've come to terms with it but people need to know its emotionally, mentally and can be physically damaging as I decided to eat nothing but junk food one summer in attempt to gain weight but failed thank god I stopped but what if I didn't?

I'm glad this topic is up. People want to be skinny like models but treat the girls that are like that naturally like garbage.

Omg right😒 so many used to tell me to "eat a burger" and that I look anorexic. And now all u see on social media is how guys only want curvy girls and that no one wants to cuddle a stick. It's okay to promote self confidence but not all while putting down someone else.

Skinny shaming is still quite rare, you're more likely to get complimented than being shamed. But fat people generally only get shame or ignored for their weight. If therefore compliments about their appearance their weight will often come into it e.g. You would be so pretty if you lost weight, you're really pretty for a fat person, you could be a pluss size model etc.
