Depends after delivery?

Question

So I keep reading where people recommend using Depends after delivery because they are more reliable than just the pad in underwear. Plus you can just throw them away. Has anyone tried it? And if so do you just use the Depends themself or with the pad too? I'm seriously considering it but wasn't sure how people were doing it.

I'm using both. The pad will be the "padsicle" to help with comfort and healing, and I just think the depends will be easier.

I'm having a home birth, and depends are on the list of things my midwife wants me to have for care after the delivery. So I'll apparently be using them. They seem convenient to me. Especially if I experience any stitches the idea of something with a sticky side set awkwardly in my panties seems less than pleasant ;)
