What do you do with your tampon when having a 💩?

Do you leave it in while pushing your BM? Or do you take it out and poo? What if you leave it in and get poo on the string and its at your vagina all day, would that not give infection?

Take it out my friend. It's better to avoid poop in places where you don't want it. I'm a GI nurse and I see lots of poop in places it should never go.

How would you get poo on the string? The string isn't that long!

It typically comes out anyway when you go to the bathroom. Just take it out and replace it when you're done.

I've never felt like I needed to remove it. Have never gotten anything on the string and have never pushed a tampon out of me. This is interesting to me that people take it out to have a BM. Also, I've never had a UTI (knock on wood).
