Jogger travel system

Hey ladies! My MIL is coming up this weekend and has offered to purchase a travel system for baby (awesome!). We are looking for a stroller that will allow for daily jogging on the beach, but also still has enough maneuverability to use at the grocery store. This is our first baby so I have no idea where to begin... Another hitch is that my MIL is a bit old school and is adamantly against purchasing the system online. She wants to be able to physically handle it ahead of time. Which makes sense, but really limits our selection.

So my questions are:

Do you have a system you would highly recommend that meets the above mentioned requirements, and which stores offer the best selection to shop around?

Price isn't really a factor within reason so hit me with everything you've got!
