No med birth?

Question

I'm only 16 weeks and I'm already thinking of not having an epidural due to spinal stenosis. I hope I can take it 😖 I also don't know if I can have one due to my back condition, I will ask my doctor during my next visit.

I feel you. I have a plethora of spine problems, the worst being in my Lumbar. I have Advanced Lumbar Spinal Stenosis and L3,4, and 5 are herniated. I also have bone spurs and degenerative disc disease. I don't know what the hell im going to do. I am scared because I already know the 3rd Trimester is going to be SO rough for me. I am scared my sciatica will come back. I am scared I will pretty much be bed bound the last 3 months. Then there's labor and delivery..... Ugh. It's gonna hurt so much worse BECAUSE of my back, and like you, I don't know if I will be able to find an anesthesiologist who will be willing to give me an epidural. Or if I even want one because of the increased risks I will have if if misses, etc. I'm so nervous!

I encourage you to check out hypnobirthing. This is what I plan on doing for an unmediated child birth.

My cousin did a hypnobirth and highly recommends it. I plan on looking into it, I just created a post to see if anyone else has had experience with it.
