Can someone explain ovulation please??

My period is every 33-37 days. About a week from the day I started, I start noticing discharge. It increases more and more for about a week. Then two weeks from the day I started my period, I have a ton of discharge. Just clear and slippery. Then it starts to slow down and about two and a half weeks past my period start date, the discharge turns into goo almost and isn't slippery anymore.

So at what point did I ovulate? Do I ovulate on one specific day? Was it the day when I had the most discharge that was slippery? Or someday when it was like goo?

Occasionally (like every 3-4 months) I get sharp pains in on my sides and know it's ovulation cramps but that doesn't always happen.

Please help explain!
