Thoughts on buying Hospital/ Birthing Gown?

Is anyone else considering buying their own hospital/ birthing/ nursing gown? I found a few cute ones online but am not sure if it'll be a waste of money or not.

Ah, no way. From experience, child birth is messy. I don't want to ruin anything nice I might buy, and I certainly don't want to take home dirty laundry. Not worth it. Something nice and cozy for when you're at home and done bleeding, sure...but I'd wait at least a week.

I ended up pretty much naked while birthing my first. Clothes were just too uncomfortable. BUT I think they're great for afterwards. I splurged for one this time around 😊 I got this one with a matching robe.

I think they are a waste of money. It was awesome to not worry about laundry or ruining your own clothes. Hospital gowns all the way.

I was naked the entire time with my first. Plan to be naked again haha. Don't remember taking my clothes off but hubby said I basically ripped them off myself. Afterwards I wore PJ pants and a sports bra around the house

I bought my own gowns for after the birthing process. It makes me more comfortable and I feel it has my smell which baby likes 😊

I had a robe for my 2nd and it was nice not having to wear that nasty goen the hospital puts on you, and wore it alot after going home due to csection i didnt want to wear clothes so i wore my robe alot! I think its worth the extra money

No it wont be a waste here in jamaica we have to walk with gowns/nighties we call iy and after we have baby its still comfy to wear after having baby

I plan on taking all my own stuff.. Slippers night gown, dressing gown. Purely for comfort, I feel like it will help ... Xx

I bought a nice comfy set of PJs and a robe for my second after hating every picture in the ugly hospital gowns. I use the gowns during labor but switch to my own clothes once I have the baby. Way better for me personality.
