"New" Genetic Testing - PLEASE READ
I posted my story last week on here and I didn't get many reviews back . So I'm now 16 weeks & last week I found out that I tested high risk for trisomy 18 . It's also called Edwards syndrome . My doctor basically told me that if the baby does happen to have this then I have the choice to terminate the pregnancy or not . - Well I did my research and basically if my child does have this , there life spanned with this condition is usually only a year if that . I'm only 19 so you can only imagine how nervous I am - But for the past 3 days , every now and then , I will feel the baby kicking and moving around . It just scares me because My doctor keeps saying that it's a new test and most of the result that come back a very accurate. - I'm was just wondering if anyone had this same issue recently and they found out there baby is okay . I saw that a lot of people had false positives for downs but not many had it for T-18 . I go for my amino next week but I just can't help myself . I wanna know my baby is okay . But on the happy side , it's a baby boy & Were naming him Josiah . Any comments would help . I just need to know there's still hope 😞
