How would you handle this?please help!

Me and my soon to be husband met when I was 2 months pregnant from a relationship with a abusive man, Being the first time I got pregnant I didnt want to abort the baby, I told my boyfriend the whole story and he did not care the baby was not his, My daughter is now 1 year old and sees him as her Daddy, She even said PAPA first, I can see how attached she is to him, My Concern is how will I someday explain to my daughter that he Is NOT her biological dad. I am now 1 month pregnant and Im also so sad to think that someday when she knows the truth she will be hurt by knowing her brother/sister is my boyfriend "Biological" son/daughter and she is not. 😕😔

All of these sistuations are case by case basis. There is not right or wrong way to handle it. You have to do what's right when the time comes. Only you can make the right decision for you and your child. However, if you and your fiancé get married and stay together well into her adult life, I feel like there's no real reason to tell her. He'll be the only man who was and will continue to be there. So unless there is a valid reason to tell her, (e.g. abuse or he becomes a danger to others.), there's no point in putting her through that pain. Imo.

If you are going to tell her I would not wait until she was an adult that will only cause her more hurt from being lied to for so long. I would tell her when she's old enough to understand of course she's going to be sad but it shouldn't change the fact that he has been in her life, cared for her and loved her from day one. The truth is always the best option I believe.
