Ovulation pain?

On Monday I was having a little bit of pain near my right ovary. I assumed it was due to ovulation so my hubby and I BD, but once we started I was having horrible pain on that right side. I had to stop for a moment. Soon after pain went away and I was fine the rest of the day and later that night when we BD again. Anyone else ever experience this? If so, was it from ovulating? Thanks!
