Babyshower or no?

Some family members are aski.g me if I want a baby shower. This is my third boy, due june 16th. Our middle child just turned one , so the children are not far apart in age. Is it wrong for me to have another shower so soon and same set. I dont want people to think im in it for the gifts. I was thinking of a gathering after baby is born so everyone can meet him and theb if wanted bring gifts ect. What do you moms think ?

I think a gathering post birth is great. People can pick out little gifts if they want. Typical a shower is only for the first child so a baby welcome party is a fantastic way to celebrate

Thanks . I love the freezer dinner idea. I will be having a csection again and getting my tubes tied at the same time. Sp I will be down under for a while. Thank you everyone this was my very first post and I cant believe people actually commented back!!

I'm pregnant with my 3rd & several friends have offered to throw me a shower since this is our first girl. While I think it's very sweet & generous of them, I declined. Showers are not my thing & I did 2 big ones with my firstborn. My friends understand & asked if a small brunch would be better. I'm much more preferable to this & they can bring a package of diapers or something small if they really want to. Just an idea if you're feeling weird about another shower.

I think your idea is nice. I think you could ask for freezer dinners that will be easy and some relaxation stuff for you, especially if there's not a lot that you need for baby this time. Or you could have a 'pamper mommy' day where they brought diapers and you guys got mani-pedis or something.
