Do helix piercings hurt a lot?

I really want to get one, but I am very scared of the pain. I suppose it hurts pretty bad since they are made in the cartilage?
Can someone give me any tips?

I had my helix done some time ago and it wasn't that bad but if ur going for a forward helix know it hurts like a bitch at first but I've had my forward helix in for only a few days it's not bothering me at all

no, helix piercings do not hurt at all. I used to have a triple forward helix on my right ear and this is my left ear. I really like my piercings and only one of mine hurt :)
