I don't want a lactation consultant

I plan on pumping from the get go. I will be having to go to work for a couple hours a day right away after baby, just the nature of my job at the time baby will be born. So I plan on pumping so my husband can feed while in gone. I'm also not comfortable with breast feeding, but I do plan on providing breast milk for my child, as much as I can. How do I address this with the lactation consultant? I've heard really awful stories about LCs who are overly pushy or belittle moms who don't exclusively breastfeed. Can I do this, just pump right away?
Anyone who comes on here and says "breast is best" or to be self righteous can save their breath. I'm looking for helpful comments or similar experiences please.
