Listening to his family too much.

Me and my so are moving to Alabama (30 minutes away) for a better life.

We want to give our daughter the best that we possibly can, there are more job opportunities, rent is cheaper there, and we will have the house we have always wanted.

We also want to get away from his family because they tend to put us down a lot, take money from us, and there is always some sort of trouble with them and we don't want our daughter around that.

We expected his family to be mad, and we prepared ourselves but we never expected them to be so mean.

They called him names, called him stupid, said we were fucking up.

They even said I was going to take our daughter away from him and leave?

We have been together almost two years now and have had a great relationship.

But now thanks to his family constantly filling his head with lies we might be putting off our dreams because of them.

How do I reassure him everything is going to be okay?

That none of what they say ever matters?

Even though I am mad as a hornet with his family right now I'm not putting them down and don't want any arguments started for his sake.

Any advice ladies?
