Im so happy

My SO's daughter stayed with us last night. She has been acting out lately and not wanting to go back to her moms on our days (during the week). She threw a huge fit last week when she got to her mom's because she wanted to stay with us. We had a talk with her and yesterday we asked if she wanted to stay with us or go home with her mom. She chose to stay so my SO had talked to her mom and made arrangements for her to stay last night. This was our first time getting her ready for school since she started kindergarten back in August. It was actually nice to be able to be involved in daughter getting ready for school. Her mom has issues with daughter in the morning waking up and getting ready for school. She says it takes daughter an hour to get ready. I was able to get her dressed hair done and ready for school in 15-20 min. Im not a morning person but i loved being able to wake up and get her ready for school and see her off in the morning. Hopefully we can have more of these kinds of mornings. I love being involved in her life and she loves when her dad and i can be involved. Im just so happy about this that i needed to share a postive story.
