Ombré hair?

Has anyone tried this at home? I'm going to attempt it but wanted to hear of you had a good or bad attempt haha.

I do it at my hair stylist. And even not every hair stylist can make it properly, so I wouldn't even try to make it at home.

I've done it before. I just put my hair in a low pony. And kind of brushed the color it. I also always do it on accident when I dye my hair normally. My hair girl thought it was professionally done until I told her it was an accident lmao

I have, I used a brush to "brush" in the color so it looked natural. Make sure you get the correct Toning and lightening products for the shade you're going for. After doing an ombré I really wanted to try blonde, so I went for it. As long as you buy the right products, it will professional. Just posting

I did it at home and my hairdresser was impressed with the result. I used a kit that came with a cream that you put on your hair (where you want the ombre to end) so it blends better

I can guarantee you it will not turn out even remotely close to what you're expecting. That's why people pay a lot for professionals. It's pricey, but you get the result you want and you don't damage your hair along the way.

I ombred my hair several times. It's pretty hard but if you know what your doing you should be good. Just don't let your hair melt off. Bleach is very strong. Sick to 30 vol at most never 40.

I did mine, but I've been dying my own hair for over ten years... Depending on how dark your hair is and what kind of ombré you want, bleaching is necessary.  Most people are scared of bleaching their own hair, and rightly so.  If you do, I would recommend a bleach bath (do a ton of research before you do anything with bleach!) instead of full strength, as it is easier to control and easier on your hair- though still harmful if you have no idea what you're doing.  If your hair is light enough and you want to do a funky color, try manic panic's pre made pots.  Mix some with conditioner (easier to control how much color soaks in) and either use a dye brush or glove-covered hands to work it into your hair to the desired length.  The dye usually washes out fairly quickly, but the pink especially stuck around for me... Had to bleach again to get rid of it and go back to platinum.

I would never color my own hair. People have to get licenses for that. I want a trained professional. Takes too much time and money to fix if I screw it up.
