Just left my heroin addict boyfriend of 3 years

My boyfriend and I were together for three years. I found out about 6 months into moving in with him that he had a problem with prescription painkillers and decided I would stick by him to help through it. About a year ago, I found out he was using heroin when I had to spend my 20th birthday in the hospital with him bc he shot up and had an allergic reaction to the heroin. I've done everything I can to make our relationship work.
