Piercings

I have a septum, nostril ring and several cartilage piercings. I'm anticipating a natural birth but my doctor says due to complications with my pregnancy and being classified as high risk that I might have to do an emergency c-section. If I do have an emergency c-section can I leave my piercings in? I am asking mainly because my doctor anticipates me going early since I've already been having contractions and had heavy bleeding all throughout my second trimester and if the doctors will cut the runs out I'll just remove them now to avoid that additional hassle. Any advice or help is appreciated. :)
