Never had a vaginal orgasm..help!

My husband and I got married last summer, and that is when we became intimate for the first time. On our wedding night, we were both virgins and i was in a lot of pain. Throughout our honeymoon we were just figuring out sex, but clituris(spelling?) stimulation was the only way for me to orgasm. Even now- 9 months later- i have never had a vaginal orgasm. I feel bad because he works hard but it just doesnt happen and he always ends up having to stimulate me. I dont understand why! Any advice?
