Does tongue piercing hurt ? How long does it take to heal ?

My tongue piercing didn't hurt until 2 hours later when it got swollen and I got hungry lmfao. Learning to eat again is fun you'll bite your tongue ring a couple of times and want to cry. By day 3 with it I was able to play with it but don't do that because mine is crooked now because I played with it all day lol. By a week it didn't hurt at all anymore!

There is the initiak shock of it and it takes a couple of days to reduce the swelling. If you get it done make sure you rinse with warm salt water. Stick to liquid foods for a while, soup porridge etc. I tried eating cheerios cereal and they got stuck round the bad cos they are hoop shaped lol, also try not to bite it accidentally cos that hurts too! Haha x

I had mine done at 15, didn't really hurt, you just dribble abit after! 😂 I drank lots of vodka after so had no swelling! Depends on the person I think x

I thought it hurt a lot but my friend who got it done at the same time said it wasnt that bad so i guess it just depends. The worst part was the week after because it swelled a lot and i couldnt really eat any solid foods. I continued to clean it with mouth wash for about a month and it healed no problem. i had of for only 6 months then i had to take it out for a job i miss it so much!!!! its worth the pain lol

doesn't hurt but for a week after its hard to eat and swallow quite a few of my friends said it did to but now mine is fine it's been a few months but it's not healed properly if I leave it out to long my tounge closes and I have to put it back in and it kinda hurts

I had mine done twice. Didn't hurt the first time until the next day. Second time hurt like hell and took forever to heal. What really hurt is when I was chewing fast and bit down on the barbell and cracked my tooth in half and had to end up getting it pulled. That was the end of the road for my tongue ring phase.
