Should I say something

So my boyfriend and I have lived together since October. I make more money than him and I'm in school while he has a part time job (I've been on his ass about getting a full time job and he has been looking). In December he borrowed my car, was hit by a drunk driver and is being charged for driving without a license. I'm still paying the loan off until things are cleared with insurance (if they get cleared). I just did my taxes and I'm getting almost $2000.00 back and I'm wondering if I should tell him and try to help him with his fines or should I take care of myself and let him be a bit more adult and take care of his own expenses.
