Why wait to TTC after miscarriage

Question

What's the reason that some doctors suggest you wait to ttc after miscarriage?

I was only 4 weeks 5 days when I miscarried so I am not sure if they will tell me to wait or not. However, same doctor told my cousin to wait 6 months. Not that I'll probably follow the recommendation, Just wonder the reason for waiting! Thanks!

I miscarried at 7 weeks with my first pregnancy.. I had a follow up appointment 2 weeks later and since everything had expelled naturally, my doctor said we could try whenever we were ready. No waiting. We got pregnant 2 months later and I'm now 27 weeks 🙂

Sometimes they recommend waiting as it gives the lining of you uterus time to repair itself since where the baby implanted can cause a scar and the new baby ideally wants a nice fluffy bed of new uterine lining. It also helps with dating but that isn't super important. We tried immediately after my last MC and I don't think I even ovulated until after my first period but I got pregnant that cycle and am now 5 weeks

I mc at 8 weeks. I was told to wait to have one period. The problem was it was a few months before my period came back (not the 4-6 weeks they'd told me). I was able to get pregnant quickly after that and am now 17 weeks.

I had a natural miscarriage between 8-9 weeks and was told I can try again as soon as the bleeding and pain have stopped. Some doctors prefer you wait if you had complications or if you were further along and had a D&C as it is more traumatic on the body. I was told it is ideal to wait for your period to return so dating the new pregnancy is easier but unless given a medical reason as to why you need to wait I don't feel it is necessary. I think it is a personal choice.

I was told to wait until after my first period. That way if I get pregnant right away they will know it's a new pregnancy and not just existing hcg levels from my mc.

I miscarried at 4 weeks 6 days. I did not wait and got pregnant 2 weeks after I stopped bleeding from the miscarriage.

If you're that early I don't think you need to wait. So many women miscarry that early and never knew they were pregnant. Usually I think they want your body to have time to repair itself, replenish nutrients, etc. also they want you to have an accurate LMP to date from.

Because you need time to heal and recover from your lost and that's why they recommend 6 to a year for your body also to heal.

I had a second trimester loss at 19 weeks I was told to wait four to six weeks before having sex and three cycles before actually getting pregnant to allow my cervix to heal completely
