Anyone terrified of going into labor at home alone.. Omg its high possibility my hubby works a good 30 min away 😫

Well considering im having a home birth, im not really scared lol 😉
My SO is a Police Officer in the city we live in and can come home lights and sirens if needed, so im pretty confident!

My husband was more in a rush to get to the hospital than I was. Didn't have my son til the next day. Could've waited. Just relax. Don't worry. Let him know as soon as you know.

I don't want him freaking out and rushing me before I'm ready. I told him I'd tell him if I had contractions or my water broke but he shouldn't come home until I tell him. I want to labor at home as long as possible.

Yes, my SO works nights. I'm so paranoid I'll go into labor while he's a work and I won't be able to get ahold of him. He works as a corrections officer in the jail. He's not really suppose to have his phone on him and sometimes it's hard to get ahold of someone in there it drives me insane!

Usually labor lasts for hours. I was in labor at home for 22 hours before I went into the hospital (:

Nope. And we both work full time jobs thirty min from home, and both home and work are twenty min from the hospital. Shrug. I've got this...and if I'm in too much discomfort to drive myself, I'll call an uber or ambulance. Although someone at work will surely take me if needed :) working til I go into labor, too. Labor takes a while and comes on gently for most people, then escalates. Plenty of warning time. And if I'm that person who suddenly crashes into labor and pops a baby out thirty min later, at least it'll be over with fast!! ;)

Husband works about 10-15 mins away, so I'm not too worried about it. Plus I was going to try to cope with pains for as long as possible so I don't have to leave my dogs at home for hours and hours.

I work an hour from home (on a good day with no traffic).  Hubby is about the same.  And hospital is 30 min from our house in the opposite direction lol.  I'm going to work right up until I have him also (if possible, I work outside so once it starts getting really hot not sure if ill be able to stand it). I don't get paid maternity leave tho so I want to save my full 6 weeks for once he's here.  I feel like I'll know when things are starting up and be able to drive home.

I had contractions 7 min. apart when I texted hubby, he also worked 30 min away. Had my girl 3 hrs later. Just let him know as soon as you are sure.
