Spoiled baby?

Is there such a thing as holding your baby too much, or spoiling them in a way I guess. My baby girl is a month old and when she falls asleep I find myself just holding her until I need to put her down to do something. And I've heard people say I'm spoiling her. She is a month old and I'm a first time mamma.

It can lead to her refusing to sleep or increased fussiness unless someone is holding her, but there's nothing wrong with you living on her :) just make sure she has time to get used to her crib/bassinet/whatever you're using!

You can't spoil a baby, and soon enough, she won't want to be held all the time. Enjoy every second of it while you can!

I think it's more a comfort to them to be held by us to fall asleep. Think about it, we held them and rocked them to sleep for 9 months. The sound of our heartbeat and breathing lulled them to sleep the entire time, so to suddenly take that away would be upsetting! They'll be able to put themselves to sleep soon enough, enjoy holding them while you can!

At my newborn care class, she mentioned babys can't begin to become spoiled until 6 months. Which was kinda weird to me because I just knew I see spoiled babies way younger, but I guess they want their mommy and to be held and comforted.

No such thing as spoiled when they're so young. Babies need our attention all the time, they don't understand anything else. You wanna cuddle your baby? You go ahead and cuddle your baby! 
We're probably not gonna get much cuddle time in 3,4,5 years time

Not until they are much older. You just hold her all you want at this stage. That doesn't start until around 5-6 months when they start needing to crawl and use their mussels and learn that they can get their way. At this stage they just need mama to comfort them and feel safe.

yes but thats too young for a kid to understand that i think. i think your fine for now but watch that because eventually it will become to the point where you cant do anything without holding the kid because she will be so used to always being picked up and held

I had an emotional breakdown on my parents when my baby was two weeks old and they kept saying she was spoiled. Lol. She may get spoiled later but she is too sweet and innocent that young to understand being spoiled! Gotta love those post partum hormones.
