How to not miss your husband when he is at work?

I do keep myself busy I have a large house I have to keep up with and a 2 year old, a one year old, a puppy and 22 weeks with baby #3. I have been a stay at home mom for 3 years now and my husband work long long hours and I miss him. If he is even a little bit late the time goes by so slow waiting for him. What do I do?

Mmm, I understand this. I'm currently taking a year out from teaching to do ivf. We've both worked full time all our lives, days would be busy from 8 in the morn until finishing work, getting shopping/dinner, sorting the dog, tidying and finally sitting down from dinner at 8/9 at night. Now I'm at home, which I love in some ways, but I do miss him and notice it so much more. I don't think it's unhealthy as another poster said, It's just that you have all that time to miss them. I fill my days with things to do but if he's working overtime, it can be 9 at night before he gets in, very long days 😐

My husband is a carer so can do anything from 7-12 hours. I enjoy taking my kids out and doing things, horse riding with my daughter, taking the dog to the beach, shopping, McDonald's, park. Paint. Even go to craft shops and make something with them.

I would suggest making a plan/tentative schedule for each day of the week. Make a point to get out of the house at least once a day and make play dates/walking dates with your mommy friends a few days a week to keep your sanity and so you continue to have contact with adults. My husband works in TV production and regularly travels for weeks at a time. I work part time, am in school and make plans with friends/family at least 2-3 times a week. The time flies by and I'm sure it would help with just regular work days as well.

My husband work 12-14 hours, 6 days a week. I'm right there with you. We have my daughter all the time and his kids anywhere from 2-5 days a week. And he works about an hour from home. 
I make sure to wake up every morning with him and spend time with him while he gets ready for work. We talk on the phone most of the way to work. Text and FaceTime throughout the day. Then talk his whole way home from work. I never go to bed before he gets home. It is very hard, I agree. You just have to find a routine that works for you. Take the kids out more. Time goes by faster if you aren't cooped up at home. Best wishes to you guys!

Could you pack a picnic and go see him on his lunch break? Or do you have family in the area? I often visit my sisters when my hubby is away for work.

Find something outside of him to have I your life.  That kind of attachment is unhealthy.
