What to believe?!? 😒

Me & my bf have been trying to have a baby, ever since we had a miscarriage right after New Year's, (we didn't even know we where pregnant tho). So I was thinking that this was something he wanted just like me, my doctor had advised me to TTC after a year & got me on birth control, he says no to it. What has me confused is that he tells me he wants a baby some day but to his family & may be friends he tells them he doesn't. What does this mean? I'm so confused. I am a diabetic & when his family (his mother) goes out of town to visit family some how they end up asking when will he have a baby? She just answer's with, "she can't even have a baby". What should I do? Should I ask him? He just has this temper on him.
