Advice😐

Im very shy and i feel like my shyness is a turn off... what can i do to break out of my shell? People are always complimenting me and trying to get to know me but I think me being shy interrupts that. Now there's a guy that I like so so much, he has asked about me once to my friend..he looks at every single post on my sc stories and we always see each other in then halls. I really want to get to know him..I don't care if we just become friends, I just want to talk to him. We have no classes and have never spoken...I want to by the end of the year though!! So how can I overcome my shyness and talk to this guy?!
