Low platelets, anyone?

Hi all... I am 29 weeks and got a call from my Dr saying that my platelets are low. They are 145 and he would like them to be above 150. I know there is not much I can do, but I have to get my blood checked again next time I go. I know there might be a problem if they keep dropping, but does anyone know if they stay at 145 will that be ok? I know if they slip below 100 might not be able to get an epidural... WHICH I NEED AND WANT!!! So anyone with this subject knowledge please help!!! Thank u!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Any sumptoms like easy bruising or bleeding? If your not symptomatic they might just keep a watchful eye, the danger with Too low is bleeding risk since platlets play a role in clothing and stopping bleeds

This actually happened to me my first pregnancy. I was put on prednisone  which seemed to control it. The draw back was, it made me HUGE!!! I had lots of water weight!!! I went from 115lbs at time of pregnancy  to 205lbs. And trust me it wasn't because of eating unhealthy or too much. I had no appetite throughout my pregnancy. It was all from the prednisone. Hope this don't scare you. My daughter is 17 so maybe there is something else they can give now. Or better yet, I pray your count comes up to normal range! Oh and I wasn't able to get a epidural which sucked!! Good luck!!!!
