Prom dress opinions?

With prom season coming up I wanted to prepare early by getting my dress now. Only thing is, I can't afford a new one so I am borrowing a friend's sister's dress. It's from 2007 or 2008 and  I completely grateful she's letting me wear it, I am just afraid the dress might look dated. I think it's a pretty dress and all and again I'm super grateful, but what do you ladies think about it?

I think it's lovely. But what really matters is that you feel beautiful, comfortable and confident in it, you wear your clothes- they don't wear you! Knock em' dead!

I think it's lovely.  Traditional isn't necessarily a bad thing.  Look on the bright side, you won't catch yourself in that awkward moment where someone is wearing the same dress as you😀👍

It's a cute dress. But I was always totally against wearing white to prom. It looks a little too wedding-ish to me. But that's just me if you like it, wear it! No one's opinion matters but your own.

I like it a lot more than some of the "new styles" with cutouts, or the two pieces, or the super short puffy dresses. It's a little old fashioned but it looks classic.

Ok so it's not a full body pic but this is me in 2000, dress was basically clingy jersey with a slit on the side, worn with long gloves vintage style.
