I've read the studies, and I can't help but agree with them and the points made in them. 
Is there anyway that something like this could be stopped? Or do you think that as long as people hold preferences (so forever) that those deemed more attractive will succeed more easily than those who don't fit the mold? (Answer via comment)
The main question for the poll is 
"Do attractive women get better grades?"

If your ugly pretty don't fit the mold whatever, you aren't just given grades based on nothing or looks. There's work, tests, and more work that needs to be completed in order to get a grade.

I'm not sure how they would even test or take a poll or a study on attractive women getting better grades than average looking women. Who exactly is going out and determining (their own biased opinion) who is attractive and who isn't.

Uuummm I worked my ass off for my 4.0 gpa. I still work my ass off to be successful. I'm pretty yes but model worthy no. Maybe if I was a model I'd get everything in life handed to me?? Hhhmmm nope. Not even they get what they want...like cake. 😉

All my university assignments are given in via student code so teachers don't know who's paper they're marking. So definitely not the case where I live.
Plus I remember all the popular "pretty" girls in my high school getting shitty grades and doing poorly after leaving high school so I don't think that study is super accurate 😂

Yes, it's probably true. I this study appears to accurately reflect the unconscious internalized biases we hold. Professors are often a little more liberal in grading papers of students they like, and attractiveness tends to be a part of how we judge others. To not recognize that is naive.

That doesn't mean a good grade wasn't earned, or that professors have any malicious intent. They're most likely not even aware of it on a conscious level, and it's only a fraction of a grade that's affected.

I think it's more about personality. I found that I could boost my grades by showing personal interest in the teachers in college. I see no reason not to take advantage of that. Or maybe I was just an awesome student? All I know is the one teacher who didn't like me gave me C's on everything and the rest of them gave me A+'s on everything

Hardworking attentive students who treat the teacher nicely and respect their classroom, as well as prepare for upcoming assignments get better grades. Has nothing to do with looks. That's kind of obvious ?
