Infected ear piercing?

I think my ear piercing is getting infected. I've had it for about a month now. It's sensitive to the touch and there's white puss coming out occasionally. It doesn't hurt terribly bad though. I've had plenty of piercings but they've never been infected. So how do I care for it in order to prevent it from getting worse?

A simple salt water solution should do the trick and burn a lot less than alcohol. I have had many piercings and with sensitive skin infections were a struggle. You can also try cleaning with dial anti bacterial soap.

Use alcohol on it every day. My 2nd & 3rd hole took forever to heal... Also make sure it's the right earring, mine kept reacting to the earrings they were pierced with.

It's wet cause I was cleaning it.... But why is there a bump?!

Witch hazel is nicest and gentlest to clean things with, I used it on my dd ears instead of the bottle of who knows what they gave me at the salon. Keep your hair up and away from it. Try not to sleep on it  change your pillow cases often.

Keep cleaning it. Don't take it out because you can close the infection in there and that's even worse. Where is the piercing? You should be able to call where you got it done and ask how to handle it, or if you did it yourself/Claire's or whatever then stop into an actual piercing shop and they'll be happy to give you information, even if you didn't get it done there.
