He snapped at me! 😞

I'm 27. I have a long-term and long distance friendship with a guy I met when we were kids. He IS NOT my boyfriend, but we do talk/text every day. This weekend I didn't contact him because I was exhausted from work and needed some "me time." Then on Monday I sent him a funny video. That's when he snapped.

He said something along the lines of "how can you ignore me for days, but send me a video?" I told him to change his tone and that he didn't message me at all.

He agreed he didn't and apologized, but it still irked me. What do you guys think would make him act that way?
