Rebuilding the bond

Me and my bf of 1 year and almost 6 months broke up yesterday. We were partially toxic and weren't happy anymore. I honestly don't see how I can be without him as he was my bestfriend and I his. We decided to try to be together but taking it really slow.  I need advice and stories of people getting back together.
