Questions about working until your due date...

If you are working until your due date, how are you preparing for when you go into labor? For instance if your water breaks while at work, will you be heading straight to the hospital? or will you time your contractions and then head to the hospital? Will it be awkward and messy if your water breaks at work, or is it not as dramatic as they make it seem in movies?? Just trying to weigh my options and make a decision. Thank you ladies for any input!
