Baby products!

I'm a soon to be new mom, and I have left over lotions and baby wash(johnson&jonhson) and I don't see an expiration date on the bottles. These were from 4 years ago and some aren't even opened. Are they safe to use? Or do you recommend another product? I've seen that J&J has horrible chemicals in their products. so if that's true what do you ladies use on your sweet babies? Thanks for your input and suggestions!
