Blocked tube question!
Hi there!
In 2009 I became pregnant. I got to the 10 week point and then started bleeding/having pain. The doctors at the emergency finally figured out the baby was in my fallopian tube, it had erupted and I had to go in for emergency surgery to have my right fallopian tube removed.
About a year later I had a dye test done and the gynecologist found that my left tube was blocked. I have avoided pregnancy as much as possible since then, worried about another blocked tube (plus we haven't been at a point in our lives where we were really ready to become parents, the first time was kind of an "oopsie" that turned out to be a horrific experience for me. I spent a long time feeling depressed)
Anyway I guess my point is now we are entering our 30's and I have been feeling a bit interested in having children soon. Has anyone out there had a blocked tube that became unblocked after a certain amount of time? Just wondering if it's worth a try naturally or should I just accept that we will have to use in vitro. I'm a bit scared to try because I don't want to go through the same thing again.
It has been about 8 years, we don't use protection and mostly make sure we are not having sex when I'm ovulating. I have never had any missed periods or worry about being pregnant. So the only thing that would change is that I would start having sex on those days where the percentage of getting pregnant is higher..
Any thoughts for me?
