My daughter is 2 years and one month old and she only says a few words and only understands about half the things I tell her.. I have other friends who's kids are her age or younger that are talking up a storm and can have converstations with them. I feel like I'm doing something wrong.. I've been talking to her since she was born and try to converse with her all day long... She does play with a few kids. Her pediatrician gave us the option of a speech counsler and I'm stuck because I want her to learn in her own time and not force her, but at the same time I'm so frustrated because I've been working with her since she was 18 months old to get her to talk and she's only made a tiny bit of progress. I know she's smart. I'm hoping one day she will wake up and tell me a story. Any advice? 😥
