Cervadil?

41 weeks today and still only .5 centimeters dilated, I scheduled my induction while at my appointment today. I start Cervadil tomorrow evening and then obviously pitocin early the next morning. but my doctor said sometimes Cervadil is enough to start labor on its own and then no need for pitocin. does anyone have any stories like that? can I still walk around if I have the Cervadil? sorry, ftm here and suffering from terrible anxiety, I haven't the slightest clue what to expect

I was 41 weeks, started Cervadil on Sunday night at 8pm (you can't get up or go the bathroom for 2 hours). The plan was to start pitocin at 8am the next morning--- however Cervadil took me from 1cm to 9cm and I had my baby girl at 6:08am Monday morning! I had been 1cm for 2.5 weeks leading up.

I was 39 weeks when the induced me and the started me on the cervadil and just that was enough for my body to have contractions like crazy and that were super strong. They ended up removing it when i hit 6 cm and my body had taken over completly and i was at 10 cm within an hour of them removing it.

I was induced with cervidil.  When they give it to you you can't walk for an hour then you can after that.  I had two doses and never started pitocin.  I started cervidil at 3:00 in the morning and had my little girl at 12:49 the next day.

I was sent to L&D on Tuesday 3/29 in the morning after identifying no amniotic fluid on ultrasound. Unfortunately my body hasn't responded well yet. I have had 12 hrs of Cervadil and 12 hrs of Cytotech. Still dilated at 1 cm but my Cervix is thick, which is the main problem. I have had a 6 hr break this afternoon and am about to start phase two of Cytotech. I hope you don't have the same experience as me but if you do, have patience. I have been told by everyone here that induction can be a 1-2 day process.

Sometimes it's enough on its own, but done be discouraged if it's not. I had an overnight cervadil 2 days ago and then 10 hrs on a pitocin drip.. they sent me home at midnight. Trying again today... keep an open mind. Good luck ❤

Cervadil can definitely be enough! Not always but sometimes for sure. And walking is highly encouraged. :) good luck mama
