ID Required??

Question

I'm due in 2 weeks more or less and was wondering if its necessary for my hubby to have an ID to be able to come into the labor room with me? He has no type of ID and no, he can't get one right now since we're waiting on some paperwork from mexico. Any opinions? (We live in Houston, Tx.) Thanks ladies, I'll appreciate any help!!

It might depend on the hospital. I'm delivering at TWH in Houston and they require ID from every visitor including the father. They scan it into the system and even photograph them for the visitor badge they have to wear.

My husband and myself needed id's.. We even pre registered. I would contact your hospital. And try other forms of identification that he can get asap like a library card?

I think that the maternity ward is usually really high security, so most likely.

The nurse at the hospital said to my fiancé he will need ID in order to sign the birth certificate. But that's the only time he will need it but I'm in Florida. So you might just need to call and see what he needs before time

He will not be able to sign your babies birth certificate without his id , it happened to me and we had to go back for him to sign it after we discharged..

I'm in Michigan and my hospital didn't require any ID for either of us.
