Contractions and baby movement?

When you started having contractions, did the baby keep moving, wiggling or kick? Or were they quiet and you only felt contractions?

Following! That's a good question though. I be wondering why during BH contractions he balls up and it feels like he will break through. That's why its hard to tell if its just him balling up or a contraction

Since I felt like it was squeezing my baby each time (2 previous pregnancies), so I didn't feel the baby moving...just the squeezing, cramping pain of the contractions

He moves. Like a part of my stomach juts out, look like he's trying to break through my skin. And it makes the contractions sooooo much worse.

Don't remember since I had my oldest over 2 years ago. That said, when I went in two weeks ago (false alarm/early labor) the nurse monitoring my contractions and baby's heartbeat told me my doc (on the phone with her) said he wasn't active enough and told me to drink two cups of cold juice to get more activity out of him.
