I've been on maternity leave since February 25th. At the beginning of the year I signed up for short term disability in order to get paid while being off work. After giving birth to my new son I kept calling to check the status of my claim because I want to be able to help with the bills. The company just told me last week that my claim is denied due to my payroll department not having me fill out the most important part of the packet. I've never been the type of woman who sits around and expects a man to take care of me. My fiancé is now stuck with all the bills and I feel terrible. My daughter is 7 and use to me taking her to do fun things weekly. I can't do that because of the money issue. It makes me a little depressed because I can tell she's sad and bored and I think my fiancé is getting stressed out.
