Uhh..embarassing..did my wate break?

40 weeks pregnant, i was "pleasuring myself" and felt a small spurt of liquid on my hand.... not sure if i was a "squirt" from my excitement or my water breaking. Im embarassed to ask my dr or even mention to my husband lol. Has anyone ever had their water break and it was just small squirt like you sprung a leak? I was using a toy inside and hands outside so im worried about the toy introducing bactera since they say dont have sex or insert anything after your water breaks.
