We love animals, but should love people better
I see lots of posts about moms unsure what to do about their cats/dogs that they've bought/rescued/adopted/whatever in regards to their new baby, or issues with peeing and pooping in the house. Typically, they mention that their logical solution is to get rid of the animal -
BUT, the reason they are posting is to hear other people's alternatives, not to get bashed around and shamed for considering the option of getting rid of the animal.
You go into an adoption (at least, I hope you do) knowing that all sorts of things under the rainbow can go wrong, and you take responsibility for it and work every possible alternative before releasing the animal to someone else. But sometimes, it seriously just DOES NOT WORK OUT. And you guys are being merciless and coming down with a hatchet to chop these poor women to pieces over AN ANIMAL.
These moms aren't asking for your criticism, they're asking for your suggested solutions to their problem so that they don't have to give their animals up. So calm down on your shaming and name-calling and offer her something useful that can help.
