Transvaginal ultrasound advice???

Question

So, my first ultrasound is on April 12, and I think it's going to be transvaginal. 
If you've had one, any advice for this girl? 
I'm really scared and nervous about it.

Don't be nervous. I had one every few days when undergoing fertility treatments. 
The probe itself is only a bit wider than a tampon so doesn't hurt. 
For all my follicle scans I had to have a full bladder to look at ovaries but for 7 weeks pregnancy scan had to have an empty bladder (I guess a good non-squashed view of the uterus). 
Don't worry about it, how did the baby get in there anyways!? Haha! 
Ps. It is all worth it to know there is actually a baby in there.

Have you ever had a pap? It is less pressure than that and you hardly care anyway since you are seeing your baby for the first time!

Don't be nervous at all! It is not painful at all. Depending on what they are trying to see you may feel a little pressure, but nothing painful. Plus you'll be so focused on looking at the baby you won't even think about it.

They really dont hurt... its about the same as the tip of a penis to be honest lol its really not bad. Ive had 3 done in the last 2 weeks

I was so nervous about mine aswell but it was nothing scary at all! Honestly after what my cousin told me about her first tummy ultrasound I'm more nervous for that! You have to have an empty bladder for the transvaginal US though! Your doctor will more than likely just remind you to empty it... Goodluck!

I was really surprised as to how it actually felt . At first it just felt like a speculum going in but once the scan started, it felt fine! Even when she moved it around, it wasn't uncomfortable AT ALL!! Plus, you'll be so focused on the screen 😊. If discomfort from a Pap smear was a 10, I would give this a 4

Awe don't be nervous! I've had two transvaginal ultrasounds so far and neither bothered me. They weren't uncomfortable to me at all.
