Pregnant or not?

My husband and I were trying to conceive this past month. My period came 3 days late, my period only lasted 1 1/2 days. First day started out very light, dark brown then bright red blood, was only medium flow for the first day. Today, not much at all of bright red blood. Now it's back to brown and barely anything again. I took a pregnancy test tonight and it came back negative.
