Can we use this name?

So my husband and I are pregnant with our first and have always planned on using Josephine for a girl's name, since that was his grandmother's name, and we both love it. Problem is, a couple in our friend group just had a baby and named her Josephine. They call her Josie for short, which we wouldn't do, but still it makes me feel like we can't use that name anymore! My husband keeps saying we shouldn't change what our original plans are based on them, but I feel a little uncomfortable. Is Josephine totally off the table as an option?
